Children's Health Council Teen Wellness Committee
The Children's Health Council (CHC) is an organization at Stanford University that focuses on mental healthy advocacy for teens and young adults. The main purpose of the Teen Wellness Committee is to raise awareness of mental illness within our community and work to reduce the stigma of it through education.
Council member | 2016—2019
- Contributed to both the Speak Mindfully Campaign and our recently published book "Just a Thought: Uncensored Narratives on Teen Mental Health." For the book-- which is split into four sections: To Friends, To Parents, To Educators, and To Me-- I helped write the To Parents section and wrote a letter about my struggles with anxiety disorder in the To Friends section, which is featured on my creative writing page (a copy of the book can be requested here).
- Planned three panels: two at Los Altos High School and one at Mountain View High School. Also hosted the Mountain View High panel.
- Spoke on a handful of panels including a presentation at the YMCA's Project Cornerstone Breakfast.

In late March of 2019 I presented as a keynote speaker with my two peers at the YMCA's Project Cornerstone Breakfast. The event is held annually in order award members of the community for their outstanding service and positive contributions. Our presentation was centered around our process in creating the book and what community members can learn from it. Upon seeing the presentation my school purchased nearly 200 books and gave one to each of the staff members at my school. A video is available here
A video that I appeared in for Safe Space, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of mental health, and their "New Conversation" project. This video was admitted to a national film festival and will be shown in the Spring.
The photos above are from a panel I spoke on hosted by Challenge Success, a national organization that advocates for student wellness in schools. The video is available here
The two photos featured above are from a panel I moderated at the Children's Health Council where students shared their unfiltered experiences with Anxiety and Depression.
